2020 Wrap-up
As we end one of the most challenging years this country has faced in decades, I wanted to thank all of you that supported my efforts. With the killing of George Floyd coupled with the COVID-19 pandemic, it became clear that I needed to shift my focus to virtual experiences that would explore not only the difficult conversations around racial justice, but would also look to bring some inspiration, cheer and support to those in need.
I first teamed up with En Vogue’s Rhona Bennett on #Emerge to raise funds for GetUsPPE.org that provides personal protective equipment to frontline healthcare workers, and Music & Activism that went deep on the intersections of race, culture, politics and music.
I then reunited with 17 former Mouseketeers to Executive Produce a holiday album with Universal Music Group/M12 during the height of the pandemic to provide a little holiday cheer and support some of the hardest hit by COVID.
We partnered with MusiCares founded by Recording Academy (Grammys) that helps music people in times of need, The Brave of Heart Fund launched by the foundations of Cigna and New York Life to provide financial assistance to the families of healthcare workers who die fighting COVID, and the Cast Member Pantry founded by Disney employees to support the over 28,000 cast members recently furloughed or laid off due to COVID.
We kicked everything off with a wonderful Virtual Album Release Party. M12.tv has included it in their 2020 Holiday program now available.
Our Virtual Album Release Party starts at time stamp 00:11:00 if you want to just jump right to it
